Unilateral intravitreal dexamethasone implant for the treatment of cystoid macular edema in intermediate uveitis

ABSTRACT This report aims to describe the effectiveness of a unilateral intravitreal dexamethasone implant (Ozurdex®) used for treatment cystoid macular edema in patient with recurrent intermediate uveitis. Bearing mind adverse effects prolonged use systemic corticosteroids, objective here was provide less damaging form intervention, and also demonstrate safety patients who fail respond conventional treatment. In present case, there bilateral improvement retinal anatomy function (Ozurdex®).
